Larson Engineering, Inc. is a professional engineering firm headquartered in White Bear Lake, Minnesota providing solutions in the Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Process and Building Envelope markets for over 35 years. Our firm offers the opportunity to develop your skills and gain experience working on a wide range of projects across the nation. We are currently seeking a Design Engineer/Project Manager to work in the mechanical division of our White Bear Lake office. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.

 Description

• Lead engineering design on a variety of project types including HVAC, Mechanical, and Plumbing designs of commercial, office, retail, residential and industrial facilities
• Oversee production of construction documents working with the client and design team coordinating work and meeting project deadlines
• Provide an efficient engineering design that meets current building code requirements, client needs, and project budgets

 Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school
• Three to five years of experience and proficiency in the following: piping, HVAC, plumbing, and ventilation systems. Experience in electrical design is beneficial
• Strong project organization and management skills
• Knowledge of construction standards, methods, and practices required
• Understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes and Plumbing Codes
• Solid interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• PE licensure in Minnesota or ability to obtain within 1-3 years
• Experience with CAD software (Acad, Solidworks, Inventor, Plant 3D)
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects
